So, it's time to share our secret research and development results with a community of modern fencers. "Futura black" is the next generation of our protection, and it's the next step in quality and style we have always wanted to bring to the world of fencers like ourselves. The style and look say for themselves, and it's epic, but there is more to tell about this new product.

First of all, and this is ultimately important, this is a very different sort of plastic than what you are used to. It doesn't break. At least we haven't seen a single piece of our plastic destroyed, taken a competitive environment of the Eastern European HEMA fencing scene, and a dozen high-profile fencers who have been testing this stuff for almost a year. It feels differently, with much better shock-absorption properties than everything we've seen before, and additionally, we put an EVA lining inside for even better comfort and protection. The plastic is reinforced inside with a layer of heavy-duty fabric, so we brought you a little bit of car and aerospace industry tech. The layer with a texture is the same plastic, so it's hard and provides the same level of protection.

Another improvement is inner metal loops, so the rubber bands we provide to attach the gear to your jacket are completely hidden under the plastic for both aesthetics and durability reasons. It might take an extra minute or two to get the lacing through the loops, but it works well and looks great after that.

Also, the nature of the molding and manufacturing process allows us to make a complex three-dimensional design of the element, so we were able to make it the same shape that was tested by generations of armored swordplay fencers.

And last but not least, the look is fantastic, and your gear will look cool and professional in the best possible way.
