Lightweight elbow protection for fencing

While experimenting with different swordplay formats, we realized that there is still an unsatisfied demand for the lightweight, functional, and simple gear required by many sword-fighting disciplines, from the SCA heavy to tournament rebated steel fencing to harnischfechten in HEMA. During the last couple of years, we made it to another level in hardened spring steel works, making perfect shapes with a perfect surface and several surface-finishing techniques, from sating polishing to blackening and brass guilting.

While our new armor kits are very sophisticated full armors, we wanted to offer something simple to our customers who only need the required minimum or the most crucial armor covering bones and joints.

So, these elbow cops are one of those pieces that could be matched with similar knees and pauldrons; we plan to expand this line with other essential practical gear. They are simple: the shape has been tested for many years by modern sword-fencers, and, actually, several centuries ago too. They have a simple dual fastening system, with a traditional leather strap and holes to attach them to your padded under-armor gear. They protect your elbows, and the best thing about these cops is that you'll forget about them very fast, as they are ergonomically shaped and very lightweight. Also, we know that many HEMA/WMA clubs lately prefer steel protection, and these elbows won't be a big difference for fencers who used to have plastic gear.
