Classic Early Medieval Leather Shoes

These classic medieval leather shoes will be remarkable additional to any medieval or SCA character`s garb. They will complete your stylish appearance and will serve you for years as a good and reliable footwear.
These shoes are fully handmade of natural thick leather in accordance to typical early medieval design. Lacing is also made of 100% natural leather. It is convenient and historically accurate at the same time.
An outsole is made of natural hard leather like it was made in medieval period. You should keep in mind that medieval shoes have to be used on some soft surfaces like ground or wooden floor. In case if you are planning to use them on modern hard roads you can order these shoes with a rubber outsole. Rubber is also recommended if you need these shoes for any type of sword-fighting practice.
Historical reference:
Almost always shoemakers used a single, thin piece of leather as a sole in the middle ages. Outsole (just like in our shoes) was made of much harder leather to protect feet from injuries and boot from demage. An outsole is reliable sewed to the uppers in our shoes. Additional glue soaking makes the thread stronger. The thread is securely hidden into a cut in outsole to prevent it from wear.

Please take your measurements carefully — it will help us making these shoes perfectly fit for you.
Please also keep in mind that our shoes are made of 100% natural leather that`s why it is normal that it fits very slim when you are getting your new pair. They will stretch and after one or two days of usage shoes will get your feet shape.

Could you please describe which models exactly you`d like to combine and what you`d like to get as a result and we'll speak to our shoemaker.
Can these be made without the foldover? I am looking for a shoe that comes only to the top of the foot, rather than a boot. Also, can I get them in custom colours to match my garb? Thank you!
