“Elven Prince” Fantasy Armour Kit

The Warriors of Alfheim, the Jósálfar or Light Elves, are renowned for their battle skills, weapon-smithing, and as Armourers to the Gods. It is rumored that the great swordmaster, Johannes Liechtenauer, was a guest of the Jósálfar and their learned his nearly unbeatable style of swordsmanship.

Our Steel Artisans at ArmStreet have patterned our Elven Prince armour on descriptions taken from Teutonic Legends and Icelandic Sagas. The fighting style of these lithe, amazing agile warriors calls for an armour that moves with the warrior like a second skin, with free-flowing lines and elegant curves. Our Master Armourer has outdone himself with this set of armour. From a single glance, one can understand that this is armour built for a Royal Fae.

Basic version is crafted 16 ga, cold-rolled, mild steel. Stainless Steel upgrade in 16 ga ss available for only $450 more.

While a helmet is not included with this kit, we have created two helmets specifically for this armour: smooth Elven style helmet and helmet with fluted ribs.

To check how to measure yourself please click here.

IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding. If you are ordering sabatons, please send the actual measurements of the footwear you plan to wear under them.

Medieval Martial Arts are, by their very nature, dangerous and ArmStreet is not responsible for any injuries sustained by persons wearing their armour during the course of such activities. We cannot stress enough the importance of proper training, armour, weapons and knowledgeable supervision during these activities. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the wearer and their opponent for the safety of the participants.

Please contact us if you have any additional questions.

Safety disclaimer: Sword-fighting and fencing is a dangerous sport. Fencing, historical fencing, medieval reenactment and martial arts as well as other related types of activity, are inherently connected to a certain risk level of injuries or death. The Company declines all responsibility for any traumas or harm done to oneself or to the third person, along with any material or consequential damage, impaired during the products usage. We admonish that all acts with armour, weapons or their components have to be performed before designated person who is responsible for safety of the particular event and accredited to supervise armour and sport weapon conformance to the event’s standards.

Included in this armour kit:

  • Cuirass – Built for maximum protection and movability, this Cuirass is created from five, supremely articulated lames of steel – front and back. The steel is then creased to include the flowing lines so coveted in the Fae World, that also greatly increase the strength of the armour in ours.
  • Tassets – The five lame Tassets provide exceptional protection for the front, side and even rear of the thighs and are forged to replicate the fronds of some otherworldly palm tree.
  • Pauldrons – Matched beautifully with the Cuirass, the Pauldrons blend seamlessly and provide a curtain of steel to defend the shoulders and upper arm.
  • Bazubands – The delicately smoothed Bazubands provide what may be the most attractive set of forearm and elbow protection in the business. Double hinged and secured with a strong leather strap and period buckle, these are ideal examples of functional art, providing both beauty and unmatched protection in a single piece of armour.

How much for the elven tassets alone? Do you sell the tassets apart from the suit?

    ArmStreet team:

Pair of tassets costs $159.00 for mild steel or $179.00 for stainless steel + $34.00 shipping. If this works for you, we can send an invoice for the order directly to your PayPal email.

Good evening, We are in a bind and in desperate need of a full suit of medieval knights armor for an in-park costume starting May 15th. This character will also be outside and I was wondering if you had any high quality non-metal suits of armor. I am slightly concerned about the heat in a metal suit, but would love to hear what you all have to say about that concern. Is this something you all have the possibility of providing? I look forward to hearing from you, Sincerely, Cindy

    ArmStreet team:

We produce only metal and combined metal-leather armour, and unfortunately there is too little time for manufacturing and shipping (from eight weeks for full armor suit). We recommend contacting the manufacturers of non-metallic LARP armor.

What trousers or pants are best to match with the gambeson and boots and armour!?? The colouring of the trousers would be So key!

    ArmStreet team:

Model wears black "Forest" Boots and natural color Flax Trousers. We also recommend matching "Elven" Boots (also available in embossed leather in different colors).

Well, fashionistas may try to complement this garb with our novelty - unique 3D trousers ;)
